Planting a small seed and nurturing the sprout in its effort to becoming a beautiful plant is a magical transformation that will always hold my interest.  Growing a gourd, drying,  cleaning and then creating a piece of art exemplifies this.  Each gourd has its own character and with the many embellishment techniques available, I am constantly challenged.

I earned my Bachelors degree in Art at the University of Colorado and have been involved with the creative arts (music, fiber arts, sculpture) for years. My greatest creations are my twin daughters who have been my biggest fans and supporters.
